Get more Website Traffic Trough Forums
Forums are a great place for you to get more website traffic, but there are rules that you should follow to increase your efficiency in forum marketing:
The first thing to do when you join a forum is to “behave properly”. Don’t start posting your links and ads on the body of your messages. Just introduce yourself. Don’t mention your blog or website. Believe me, first impressions do count in forums.
* Threads.
The best thing to attract reader’s attention is by posting very informative and unique threads. Threads that could make readers think, threads that are first time to be seen on forum, and threads that can be argued and can drive many comments and reactions. I hate people who are copying other threads from other forums, or copying other articles from article sites. If you do this, you are degrading yourself.
* Posts.
Posts like “I agree”, “Nice Idea”, “Very informative”, “I will do it”, etc are nothing but crap. Create positive content/feedback, in real life, do you speak just for the act of speaking or do you speak with a purpose ? Post with a purpose in forums. Posts spread your signature, trough your signature you get visitors to your website.
* Maintain Your Thread.
Always answer every time another member or members posted a message under your thread. Do not bump your thread. Wait for others to post, if no one is interested to post anymore, consider your thread dead and create another good one.
* Maintain the threads where you have posts (subscribed threads).
Just the same as maintaining your thread. In order to view these threads if there are new posts, just visit your “User Control panel”, or “User Profile Page”. To make your “subscribed” threads available in your control panel, for VBulettin Forums click on “Control Panel”, go to “Edit Options” and on “Default Thread Subscription Mode”, select “No email Notification” from the drop down menu.
If you’re active on around 4 to 6 forums on a daily basis, creating unique threads in big forums and maintain those threads for about a week, can bring to your site over 60 unique visitors just trough your forum signature.
